Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

These terms govern your use of the Swept Away Restoration website and outline the general conditions under which we provide water, fire, mold, storm, and related restoration and reconstruction services. They are not a substitute for the signed work authorization you will receive before any work begins. By browsing this site or requesting a quote, you agree to the terms below.

Service Area

Swept Away Restoration provides services within our established service area in and around Ashland, Oregon. Availability for a given property, especially for larger reconstruction or industrial projects, depends on scheduling, crew capacity, and site conditions at the time of your request. Contacting us or submitting a form does not guarantee immediate availability.

Estimates Are Not Binding Contracts

Any estimate, quote, or scope summary provided by phone, email, or in person is an informational starting point, not a binding agreement. Final pricing can change once our technicians assess moisture levels, structural damage, mold conditions, or other site-specific factors that are not visible during an initial walkthrough. A project becomes a binding commitment only once both parties sign a work authorization form, which governs the actual scope, pricing, and terms of the job.

Payment Terms

Payment terms, including deposit requirements, progress billing, and accepted payment methods, are set out in the signed work authorization for each project. We coordinate directly with insurance carriers where the homeowner has authorized us to do so, but the property owner remains responsible for any deductible, non-covered scope, or balance not paid by the carrier.

Licensing and Liability

Swept Away Restoration operates as a licensed contractor within Oregon state regulations. Our liability for any project is limited to the scope of work defined in the signed work authorization and applicable insurance coverage. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, damage caused by delayed authorization to begin mitigation, or issues arising from work outside our documented scope.

Insurance Coordination

When a homeowner authorizes it, we document losses with photographs, moisture readings, and scope notes to support an insurance claim and communicate with the assigned adjuster. This coordination is a courtesy intended to streamline the claims process. It does not make Swept Away Restoration a party to your insurance policy, and final claim decisions rest with your carrier.

Scope of Work

Any services described on this site, including water removal, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, sewage and biohazard cleanup, contents handling, or reconstruction, are general descriptions of capability. The actual scope for your property is defined only in the written authorization signed for that job, which supersedes any general description found here.

SMS / Text Messaging Terms

Swept Away Restoration runs a customer care text program for customers who contact us about our services. By giving us your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts (for example, by checking the text consent box on our contact or estimate form, or by telling us on a call that we may text you), you agree to these terms.

  • Program: Swept Away Restoration customer care texts, sent from our business texting line.
  • What we send: messages about your service request or project, such as appointment scheduling and reminders, technician arrival times, job updates, follow-ups after the job, and a request to review our work. We do not send marketing texts to anyone who has not separately opted in to them.
  • Message frequency: message frequency varies based on your request and project.
  • Cost: Msg & data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier’s plan.
  • Opting out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further texts will be sent unless you opt in again.
  • Help: reply HELP to any message for help or contact us at (541) 821-3664 or joannarufo@gmail.com.
  • Not a condition of purchase: consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us.
  • Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: we never share or sell your mobile number or your text messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve any disagreement about scope, pricing, or workmanship directly and promptly. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the terms outlined in the signed work authorization for that specific project, including any governing law or venue provisions it contains, will control.
