Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Swept Away Restoration wants every visitor, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology, to be able to find our services and reach us without frustration. We built this site with accessibility in mind and we review it periodically to catch places where it falls short.

Standard We’re Working Toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That standard covers things like sufficient color contrast, text that resizes without breaking the layout, descriptive link text, and forms that are labeled clearly enough for assistive software to interpret correctly. We treat WCAG 2.1 AA as a target we’re actively working toward rather than a box we’ve permanently checked, since web standards and our own site both keep changing.

Screen Reader and Keyboard Compatibility

The site is structured so that headings, navigation menus, and the contact form can be read and operated by common screen reader software and by keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse. Images include descriptive alt text where they convey meaningful content. If you rely on assistive technology and run into a page, button, or form field that doesn’t behave the way it should, that’s exactly the kind of problem we want to know about.

Known Limitations

No website is perfect, and ours is no exception. Older content, embedded third-party tools, or PDF documents linked from this site may not fully meet accessibility standards yet. We’re not going to pretend otherwise. When we become aware of a specific gap, we prioritize fixing it, particularly anywhere it blocks a visitor from reaching our contact information or submitting an inquiry.

Reporting an Accessibility Problem

If you encounter any part of this site that’s difficult to access or use because of a disability, please let us know. You can reach us by email at joannarufo@gmail.com or by phone at (541) 821-3664, and you can also write to us at PO Box 1134, Ashland, OR 97520. When you report an issue, it helps to tell us what page you were on, what browser or assistive technology you were using, and what happened, but we’ll work with whatever detail you can give us.

How We Respond

We review accessibility reports as they come in and aim to acknowledge them within a reasonable window, then address the underlying problem as quickly as we reasonably can given the size of our team. Some fixes are quick; others, like reworking a third-party embed, take longer. Either way, we’ll follow up with you directly once we’ve looked into what you reported.

Alternative Ways to Reach Us

If a barrier on this site is keeping you from getting the information you need about water, fire, mold, storm, or other restoration services we offer, you don’t have to wait on a fix. Call or email us directly and we’ll walk you through scheduling, pricing questions, or insurance coordination over the phone instead.
